From October 15 to November 8, Tohoku University, in partnership with Co-op, will again be offering students breakfast for 100 yen.

This four-week event will take place at Kawauchi and Aobayama campuses. For 100 yen, students can choose from daily set-meals made with nutritious ingredients such as Sangen pork from Gunma prefecture, or take away a bento.

Please note the different dates and menu options for each campus.

Kawauchi Campus: October 15 - 31, 2024 (excluding weekends and holidays)
Venue: Kawauchi no Mori Dining (map) and Kitchen Terrace Couleur (map)

Aobayama Campus: November 1 - 8, 2024 (excluding weekends and holidays)
Venue: Aoba Dining (map)

Time: 7:50 - 8:50 a.m.
Price: 100 yen
A meal card or student ID is required.

  Two daily set-menu options
• Kitchen Terrace Couleur:
  Curry rice, grilled meat (yakiniku) bowls made with Gunma Sangen pork, Frugra? (fruit granola) set and morning udon (limited to 50 servings per day)
• Aoba Dining:
  A daily set menu and a Frugra? (fruit granola) set.

A little something extra...

• At Kawauchi no Mori Dining, the first 500 customers on Oct 17 and 18 will get a sample of Calbee's Mygra? protein cereal

This round of 100-yen breakfast is once again sponsored by the Tanaka Memorial Foundation through the Tohoku University Fund. The Sangen pork is donated by Hayashi Farm Co. Ltd. and Gunma Meat Co. Ltd., whose presidents are Tohoku University alumni. And the Frugra? is donated by Calbee.

This 100-yen breakfast series, which aims to "fill the hearts and stomachs of students," originally began in spring 2021. It is part of the Tohoku University Alumni Association's on-going "Support Student Life!" campaign, to help students who might be impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.
