Tohoku University's SiRIUS Institute of Medical 虎扑电竞 seeks to recruit two assistant professors

Job Description

Post-holders will work within the research group led by Distinguished Professor Keisuke Goda, investigating previously unexplored biological phenomena related to small extracellular vesicles (exosomes), elucidating their molecular mechanisms, and developing industrial and medical applications. The research will be centered on exosome engineering, a nanotechnology-driven approach that enables the modification of molecules, including DNA, RNA, and proteins.

By leveraging the exosome engineering platform, the appointees will promote applications in areas including, but not limited to:

• Liquid biopsy and diagnostics
• Anti-aging research
• Drug delivery systems
• Related biomedical and industrial fields

The successful candidates will work in close collaboration with Distinguished Professor Keisuke Goda and conduct research within a highly international and interdisciplinary framework that includes:

• SiRIUS Institute of Medical 虎扑电竞 and the Graduate School of Medicine, Tohoku University
• International Center for Synchrotron Radiation Innovation Smart (SRIS), Tohoku University
• Department of Chemistry, University of Tokyo
• Department of Bioengineering, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

Qualifications

• A PhD at time of appointment
• Strong motivation to open new frontiers in life sciences and medicine
• Knowledge and research experience in life sciences and medicine are desirable
