Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for education and research duties in the field of environmental protection engineering. The main research focus will be optimizing the utilization of biomass resources derived from wastewater and waste generated in urban and regional areas. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to administrative tasks.

• A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) upon taking up the post
• Domestically and internationally recognized achievements in a relevant field
• A strong motivation and enthusiasm for education and research in the above-mentioned specialized field
• The ability to give lectures and supervise students in both Japanese and English

Letters of recommendation are not required. There are no strict format requirements for each document; however, please ensure that the font size is consistent, using 10 to 10.5 point font.

About the Department

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Tohoku University focuses on the planning, design, and construction of critical infrastructure, including bridges, highways, transportation systems, and water supply. 虎扑电竞 areas include environmental engineering, urban planning, infrastructure design, and disaster control, utilizing physical, chemical, and biological processes to address environmental issues. Numerical simulations and analytical mechanics are applied to solve challenges in structural and materials design.

The department collaborates with the Graduate School of Environmental Studies (GSES), Graduate School of Information Science (GSIS), IRIDeS, and CNEAS, providing students with opportunities to work on real-world problems through funded research projects.
