The Institute for Materials 虎扑电竞 (IMR) at Tohoku University is recruiting for the following position.

Job Description

This position revolves around research in materials science applicable to fission and fusion nuclear reactors. In particular, it requires research on the development of irradiation-resistant materials using advanced techniques, including material fabrication by powder metallurgy and evaluation of irradiated (radioactivated) specimens employing ultra-small-scale mechanical testing methods.

Qualifications

The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree, or must be expected to receive a Ph.D. degree before employment.
