We are recruiting either a specially-appointed researcher or assistant professor to join the Institute of Multidisciplinary 虎扑电竞 for Advanced Materials (IMRAM) at Tohoku University. The ideal candidate should be qualified to research the exploration of new Li or Na ion conducting inorganic solids as well as design principles of solid-state ionic materials. In particular, the research focus will be filling the gap between various materials classes such as oxides, sulfides, and halides, and also different form of materials (e.g., crystalline, amorphous and composites). The chosen candidate will work in collaboration with Associate Professor Saneyuki Ohno on these subjects.

Successful candidates should expand on the above-mentioned researcher in order to further develop the key materials for solid-state energy storage devices. Previous research experience on solid-state batteries is preferred but not required if the candidates possess sufficient expertise in materials science, electrochemistry, or solid-state chemistry/physics. We are looking for people willing to actively expand their research areas, and eager to work with those willing to lead the field of energy storage.
