Vaccination against the coronavirus is underway in Japan. And this summer, the health ministry said it would begin vaccinating schoolchildren, after the minimum age of young people who can receive the Pfizer vaccine was lowered from 16 to 12.
Although the vaccines have proven to provide protection against the coronavirus, there is still a lot of misinformation about them, causing some people - especially the younger generation - to be hesitant about getting vaccinated.
So to provide accurate information about the vaccines and to help everyone make informed decisions about getting vaccinated, Tohoku University Hospital is putting out a video as a follow-up to its recent YouTube Live event. The video will explain what the vaccine does, address some of the rumours and concerns, and answer questions.
The focus this time is on vaccinating young adults and school-age children. Families with children are especially encouraged to watch.
Date and time: Video will be online from September 17, 5 p.m. (JST)
