Tohoku University will be hosting Tech Open 2018 this summer, a contest to encourage new and innovative business plans among sudents, faculty members and university alumni.

Contestants will each have five minutes to pitch their science-based business model, which must be based on research generated at Tohoku University. Following the pitch, contestants will take questions about their business plans.

Anyone who is interested in hearing the pitches is welcome to attend. Please note that this is a Japanese language event.

There will also be a networking session afterwards that is open to all attendees. Contestants will be available to engage more personally and further discuss their ideas.
