The coastal regions of Tohoku are currently facing many challenges, including the effects of climate change, natural disasters, and shifts in population that influence fisheries and cultural activities. In response, experts, students, and the general public are coming together for a workshop to explore and share ideas on how people and the ocean can coexist sustainably.
Through conversations about the environment, culture, and society, this event offers a chance to spark fresh ideas for ocean-related research and coastal communities, as well as opportunities to connect with new collaborators. The talk session features experts from diverse fields--including ocean physics, ecology, cultural anthropology, socioeconomics, and the fisheries industry--who will discuss key challenges and possible solutions.
There is a limited capacity, so please be sure to register early before all the spots are filled.
