The best way to enjoy any new experience is to be prepared. With that in mind, Welcome Week offers new international students the chance to learn about life in Sendai and at Tohoku University through a series of workshops and tours.
These will be held over three days on two different campuses from September 26 - 30. Highlights include campus and city tours, information about student clubs, circles and volunteer activities, as well as conversational Japanese language lessons.
All sessions will be held in English except the library and city tours, which have English and Japanese options. Here are the details:

Students can select as many or as few sessions as they like, but there are limited spots which will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
Many of these sessions will be led by students and staff who remember what it was like to be a new student in an unfamiliar city. It's a good opportunity to not just hear about their experiences, but to make new friends as well.
A great new adventure is about to start. Let us help you get ready for it.
