The Tohoku University Bluegrass Club will hold a concert on January 17 at Sendai Mediatheque. Bluegrass music is a subgenre of country music, with its origins being in American roots music. The university club has around 80 members who can be found night and day practising in room 112 of the Kawauchi Campus Club Hall.
The club breaks into smaller bands for performances. The songs range in style from lyrical ballads to upbeat instrumental pieces.
