• Materials prepared for explanations to top MEXT officials on the general situation. Materials were distributed in advance, but revisions to factors in the materials, the survey of physical damage to facilities and financial affairs are needed. Final revision of content will be carried out mainly by the general manager.
• Education
  • Status check of students: 2 enrolled students dead, 1 incoming student dead, check 83% complete, 10 students with minor injuries, no students with serious injuries.
  • After realistically considering use of lecture buildings, the student living environment, and the transportation situation, the Educational TF decided that the planned 4/25 opening must be delayed.
  • Conclusion: Lectures for Common Education (1st, 2nd year), and lectures for incoming graduate students will commence on 5/6. Each department shall commence specialized faculty education and graduate education on or after 4/25, after due consideration. Professional Graduate Schools (Law School) will act flexibly.
  • Written notifications will be sent, and a basis of consensus reached.
• Facilities
  • Lifeline: Water 95% restored at Aobayama (excluding buildings deemed dangerous). The schedule for restoring gas is unknown.
• Radiation Levels
  • Reported in documents. 0.10 microsievert/hr.
• Staff
  • After checking data for foreign staff who have returned to their home countries, no large discrepancies were found.
• Social Contribution
  • Examples of Tohoku University's social contributions will be listed, and social contributions of the departments will be corroborated.
• Other
  • With regards to domestic/foreign applications for support for research/education, it was decided that each department head would use their own judgment in responding, and report to the Disaster Control Headquarters, as per the following.
    • (Education) In general, applications will be implemented as per usual, as appropriate for the facilities, equipment and staff, and requests for support from Tohoku University will not, in general, be made. However, if this becomes difficult, each department head may take action upon due consideration.
    • (虎扑电竞) Utmost effort will be made, especially by instructors, to quickly restore the university's facilities and equipment. If outside support is deemed necessary to guarantee that the research environment is ready and research can resume as quickly as possible, the department may take action, upon comprehensive review of the department's research environment and research plans, and after due consideration by the department head.
